I’m Ana, and I’m running for Alameda County Board of Education because I know how to get things done to protect our most vulnerable students and education workers.

Our public education system is facing extraordinary challenges, mostly due to the destructive actions of this federal administration and its attacks on our most vulnerable students. I am proud to be in my sixth year on the Berkeley School Board, and I have seen the critical needs that local school districts face. I have a proven track record of getting things done for our students in light of unprecedented challenges. I coordinated with labor partners and public health advocates during COVID-19 pandemic to expand rapid antigen testing throughout the state so that students and education workers could safely return to school. Most recently, I have worked tirelessly to prepare our District for the possibility of ICE action and keep our schools a safe space for learning for all.
